Our “hope” for children’s ministry in 2010 is that we will reach out to more children as we continue to minister to the children that are within our church. We have faith that God will use us as “disciples” so that we may show others of His love. Some of the outreach that we are hoping to do this year includes visiting shut-ins and bring them the outreach bears as we have done in the past and to have more family nights. We are finding that families are really enjoying our times that we have come together with parents, children, and youth. This is truly remarkable and we want to continue. Our next family night will be a family game night that we are looking to having at the end of January (more info to come later). Our “hope” is that our children will reach out to others and invite them to church, children’s programs, and youth. This will be our mission in 2010…to reach out to others and show them the “hope” that they too can have in Christ. I hope you all will join with us in our mission for 2010 and invite all you can to all church events. We just never know when a person may be waiting on an invitation! Our Children & YouthWe believe we are called to make disciples from newborn through childhood and youth. Mini-D's (ages 2-6 years) - Bible stories, Bible verses, be amazed at what your children can do when given the opportunity. Young Disciples (2nd-5th grade) - During the school year we meet each Sunday night from 6-7:30 pm. Our Young Disciples eat a light supper, and then share in Bible Study, crafts, music with well-trained volunteers who are passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with your children. Our United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) is specifically designed to form disciples 6th-12th grades. Throughout the year, 20-25 youth and adults gather each Sunday night from 6-8 pm for Bible study, worship, service, and fellowship. We gather in our spacious Family Life Center and offer the youth "safe place" to grow spiritually, offering a light meal and weekly Bible study. An all ages Sunday School Program each Sunday at 9:45 am is offered with five different adult classes, five different age appropriate classes for children and youth, and a loving nursery care. ........................................................................................
